[gen and danneel's apartment]

When Danneel heads home from Jensen's, Gen's in the shower. She's kinda cold from the walk, and, well, naked girlfriend sounds pretty appealing, so she strips and climbs in behind her, wrapping her arms around her waist. "Boo," she says. "How was patrol?"

"Um, not nearly as awesome as this," says Gen, laughing and turning around to give Danneel a kiss. "Hi. How was Jensen?"

[danneel]

"Sad and pathetic," Danneel says. "But he gave me a cheeseburger and beer, so I'm happy."

[gen_erally]

Gen laughs, sliding her hands up Danneel's sides. "Sad and pathetic?"

[danneel]

"Still no hot super girlfriend," Danneel says, kissing her.

[gen_erally]

"He's not feeling better because Jared isn't getting laid either?" Gen asks.

[danneel]

Danneel laughs. "I mean, I think he feels like he's got some solidarity, but it's been a lot longer since he got laid than Jared," she points out. "I let him touch my boobs again. I felt bad."

[gen_erally]

Gen nuzzles her neck. "As amazing as your breasts are, I don't think groping you quite counts as getting laid, baby."

[danneel]

"Hey, he seems to enjoy it," Danneel says, dryly. "It counts for something."

[gen_erally]

"Well, who wouldn't?" says Gen, groping her. She gives Danneel a kiss. "You sure you don't want to try it with him? Don't get me wrong, I've got a boy and I'm happy to share him, but it kind of seems like you like Jensen better."

[danneel]

"I'm good, I like you," Danneel says, leaning in for a kiss.

[gen_erally]

"Mmm, I like you too," Gen says, sliding her hand down Danneel's back to grope her ass. "But, you know, in a week or two, Jared's gonna be back, and Jensen's going to be mopier about his lack of hot super sex."

[danneel]

"I said that I was good," Danneel says, a little irritated.

[gen_erally]

"Okay," says Gen. "I'm sorry."

[danneel]

"I thought we decided we could give it some time before we tried - dating Jared," Danneel says, feeling kind of uncomfortable.

[gen_erally]

"We did," says Gen, a little confused. "I didn't mean right now."

[danneel]

"Like, more than a week," Danneel says, softly.

[gen_erally]

"Oh," says Gen, because they'd actually only talked about a week, but--she wants Danneel to be okay. She kisses Danneel's shoulder. "Okay. What were you thinking?"

[danneel]

"I just - didn't exactly want to feel like there was a timeline on - feeling okay about it," Danneel says. "I might need some real time, not just a couple days."

[gen_erally]

"Sorry," says Gen, tugging her in close for a hug. "I didn't mean it like that. I want you to take as long as you need."

[danneel]

"Okay," Danneel says, leaning in. "Sorry. I just - this is kind of hard."

[gen_erally]

"I know," Gen says, kissing Danneel's jaw. "It's not easy for me either, and I'm not trying to pressure you into anything. I promise."

[danneel]

"Okay," Danneel says, kissing her nose. "Ready for bed soon?"

"We aren't going to have shower sex?" Gen asks, laughing. "I was gonna go down on you."

[danneel]

Danneel laughs. "I guess shower sex would be okay."

[gen_erally]

Gen laughs and gets down on her knees. "Don't sound so excited," she teases.
